Default sierra 4x4 driveshaft question!

Hiya guys , i have a 1990 2.9 4x4 Ghia Estate

I recently lowered her 35-40 mm via a spax kit .

I have now snapped 2 front offside driveshafts now , and wanted to know If its worth using cossie ones up front?

Are they different lengths?

Any info much appreciated.

can't really help you with your question. i suppose that they are different length, as many people with 4x4 cossie have changed to other 4x4 ones (so the opposite of what you want to do).

nce car, i have one too. i just junked the v6 and transmission and have rebuilt 2wd cossie running gear into it. there's a thread in the projects section if you're interested

bw, did you get a complete spring kit from spax? i need harder and shorter rear springs, but can't find them listed anywhere for the back of an estate (the spring diameter is bigger than saloon).

I've snapped a few

Ended up buying a new shaft but this time with Graham Goode extented CV joints. They are twice as long and don't let the shaft 'pop' out.

They were quite expensive but since having them the shaft has lasted
