Default 1.8 Zetec - Suitable for Turbo'ing and putting in ERST???

Would this be any good for a 16 valve zetec turbo for the RS or is this a totally stupid idea. Obviously I would need new pistons but would I need adaptor plate for inlet and exhaust manifolds.
The reason I ask is I have a 1000 miler in my garage sitting doing nothing.

Being cheeky here but do you know what was needed to be machined off? and also what sort of boost will it take. Would it with hold 1 bar?!

cant remember what was skimmed off. they were left full height at edge to prevent the sides braking up. was told itl take approx 13 psi safely. tbh its running 8psi just now and its fookin awesome, pulls like a train. my mate has a 16cvh running 16psi and mine pulls so much stronger and quicker. zetecs dont need lots of boost.

ive done one in mine, used accralites but they turned out to be wank o ive got another set being made up thru area six with new rods n all, im using the earlier efi inlet manifold with some ahmed spec injectors, altho u can use the fez efi inlet but does need spacers, as for the exhaust i used a s2 manifold and had the head redrilkled to acceot the studs, you can get adapters but i dont know where

using a stg1 t3 on mine to run about 14psi, no idea about power but when i was running it in pulled very very well! on only 6psi

your best to use the zetec inlet with a frst injector rail and end feed injectors. frst inlet is a bit of a bodge when used with the zetec head imo.

Did you reuse the CVH intake manifold on your Zetec?

I'm only familar with the US 2.0 Zetec and CVH. I used the Zetec manifolds, but used the CVH harness, sensors/MAF and injectors to run the motor.

compared to my last rs turbo that had the cvh, there is just no comparison. My mate now owns my old car. took him a run in mine and he was gob smacked. pulls so much stronger, quieter and smoother. i'm running 7 psi on ofab without a chip where as he is running 16 psi etc and he reckons mine is quicker. I wouldnt even hesitate about building another if the need arises. best £1400 i ever spent.

Sounds to me like your the man too ask then?

I'm just about to convert my 2.1 zvh to zetec turbo how ever i was a bit weary about just slapping my ofab loom on to the engine and expecting it to graft i have been quoted 500 quid to have it custom chipped however it it grafts straight away then it might mean i can get the co2 set and leave it parked up for a while until i can save up the extra coin needed and drive it over under its own steam rather than have it trailerd over
