i figured i'd get more looks if i put series 1 so here we go

i have a mk3 3i that is in desperate need of a full x member, any 1 in the know tell me if the removal of the old 1 will damage the front panel??

i will prob have to do it myself as i cant find any 1 up for the challenge


car looks loverly otherwise but im real tempted to break it cos it needs welding in a few other places too

any1 with a mk3 xmember for sale?
or like welding and lives nr norfolk/suffolk?

mate its quite a hard job not to damage the front panal, your better takin the front panal off tbh

maybe i wont bother and she will be stripped

 

front panel has to come off mate as the x member sits inside the chassis legs if iw as closer id do the whole lot for you but im miles away

 

there not too bad to weld up the crossmember in situ once the rad and roll bar are out the way m8 .

try taking some pics for better advice my bro has a bodyshop so the whole thing could be sorted for you
