Default Advice buying a Cossie

Hi all,i`m new to the forum and need some advice from u chaps.I`v had two series 2 RSt`s and need to get into the world The Cossie!!

I`v looked at about 6 up to know and i`v just found a minter. But with a few prblems.Firtly the cars on the HPI(like most 2wd cossies i`m told) and has been reshelled.the guy who selling it has been very honest,I`d normally walk away from anything like this but the car, body, engine and gearbox are in very very good condition and is pushing near 350 bhp.Its realy the only nice one i`v seen and its not very expensive either.Im only after one for 6 months 2 have a play in but would anybody buy one thats on the HPI and has limited history.
Its showing 40.000 and lookin at the car you would probably say its only covered the milage shown and is on an F plate. Let me know what u guys think. Cheers Stu. Also if anybody knows the car it was owned by a lad in queensferry north wales,2wd on a Freg silver Cheers lads. stu

I personally wouldn't buy a car thats on hpi as you dont know for sure whats happened to it. Also you will have more trouble selling it. 3 grand ain't that cheap for an F reg sapphire and to be honest any car with a genuine 40k would have history!! Also most of the cars are not on hpi as you was told(although some probably are). Up to you really but you should be able to get an F reg sapphire for 3k that isn't on hpi. Hope this helps.
