arite?
just invested in my first turbo, bought off a mate which ive been wanting after for a while (pics soon). Its had the usual beginner bits done (KnN, chip, not sure about actuator) got the big brakes on the front and running on Koni's. My question is has anyone got any opinions on Norris Motorsport? read the website and got a good bit of info on what they do, understand all the stage stuff a bit better. are they any good? pricey? any other reccommendations? im considering spending a good bit of money (£1000-£2000) so i want to make sure i get as much as i can for my money. Also, all you experienced people, any reccommendations as to what youd do if you started from scratch would be greatly appreciated.

cheers !
p.s. someones got to leave some sort of reply!

Welcome to PF mate

Norris motorsport have a good rep and many people swear by Karls wizardry although personally never used them!

First off i'd ditch teh K&N and replace with moded std airbox and K&N/pipercross panel filter. (cut the fact off the front top half)

then i'd get a -31 actuator, find out if the chips any good, get an uprated camshaft, up the boost and sort the ign timing and fuel to match (a norris setup will do this) oh and an uprated cooler, (radtek, pro alloy, GRS)

and that should see you with around 180-190bhp@fly

i think the main thing you want to worry about is if (1) you check your engine is in good health if you are going to proceed modding on this one or (2) think about a rebuild first then work your way up from there

the engines good as. I know where the cars been for the last 5 years, and i know for a fact its probably not done any more than 50,000 miles in its lifetime! Its in good nick fair play. I dont like all this zvh stuff going on tho, much rather keep it 1600 and see what it can get up to......

you will start to hate the car if it keeps fookin up
