Indicator problems :(
Hi there peeps...just wondering if you could help me out...having some problems with the indicators on my S2...
Last night i was driving home and the indicators on my car stopped working...however when i used my hazard lights and alarm..the indicators still flashed...so i assumed its the indicator stalk...so changed it for a one that i knew was working...indicators still didnt work so i checked the fuse....fuse had blown...replaced with and they started working again
when i took the car out again later...i heard a relay clicking away like mad (it was the flasher relay on the indicator stalk itself)...everytime i moved the steering wheel or something moved the dash it would click away like mad...however the indicators remained working...but all of a sudden the indicators stopped...checked fuse and it had blown again...
now, everytime i change the fuse...its fine until the ignition is turned on in which case it will blow again....
i have even disconected all the indicators around the car and even the reverse switch on the gearbox (according to manual the fuse also controls the reverse lights) also the indicator stalk itself...and yet the problem remains
the fuse just keeps popping everytime the ignition turns on
nothing on the car has changed recently so its not down to dodgy wiring thats been added...also yday morning the car was driving fine with no problems...but when i was on the way home...the indicators packed up...
anyone have any solutions or had this problem before as its baffled me...only thing i can see myself doing now is following the cable from the fuse box which is going to be a right mission
or just fookin burn the car
thanx for any help

small update...
we have found that if we disconnect the number 6 relay in the fuse box...the yellow one above the big red one...the fuse doesnt blow...soon as that relay is connected the fuse goes..
that relay is said to be the 'Ignition Contact Relay'....any one know what that controls? looking at the wiring diagram...it controls the fan? and i think the indicators...
however, if it was something to do with the fan, surely the fan fuse would blow and not the indicator?
can anyone help?

Did you change the fuse relay on the idicator stalk it'self matey? That is what packed up when mine went as above. When I changed this it was ok again.
Sorry if you have mentioned that already!
