Ideally i was looking at spending about Ł100 per tyre, the R888's are Ł105 each, so there just in budget
How much would i be looking at for the other ones suggested above????
Even tried Ebay, and its just full of nankangs or what ever there called

I used Toyo Proxes R888 on my 306
Excellent track tyres
I don't get why people refer to these tyres as 'slicks'
Surely they're just soft compound (comparatively) performance tyres.
Whats 'slick' about them?

Just my 2p!

what you want to be looking at is moulded slicks - there is no road going 'slick' tyres - the only thing close is a moulded slick and these do meet the minimum 17% tread marker for road useage- but be warned - they do not remove water from the tread, if it rains they are lethal. other than these variants of moulded slicks - all the rest are a compromise of a road tyre

Im with Mark.
There is NO such thing as a 'semi slick', they (most mentioned above) are all just road tyres.
I run competition moulded slicks on the road with no problems.
