Default Converting a 4x4 engine to 2wd.....

what's needed guys? Need a list really to i know what to buy, also do i use a 2wd or 4x4 oil pump and water pump?

Any help would be appreciated

realy you could do it with no changes.just the sump,even then you dont have to change that if you dont want to.

My escoss track car is 2wd ,,
Just changed the sump / oil pump and pickup pipe ,
Remove the shaft ends from the shafts and leave the ends in to hold the front hubs together , Make a brkt for the 2wd gearbox and your done

Easiy , and can be changed back in a day

I just wana put a cossy engine in a 2wd saph, but the engine i found was a 4x4 one.

so sump, oil pick-up and oil pump onto the 4x4 engine?

when I done it changed sump,oil pump/pick up,bottom crank pulley,engine mounts,had to buy a bailey turbo damper(due to head) also have to rewire the temp sender wire(make it longer as it on the other side)and also changed the turbo oil feed pipe iirc


ps: you can use the 4x4 oil pump and p/up but you have to grind abit of the inside of the sump to clear the pump thou!

yes m8 worked fine with no probs at all(had to use a 4x4 water pump hose also)
