Reading Ebay and came accross this dude selling ISCV.
As far as i know these ISCV's dont work with weber. Anyone confirm this? Maybe the one i tried was foobarbed
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=4562831710
Thanks in advance

p.s this is the reply i got from him
"Hi, Yes it is red and was fitted to the xr2i and all so the escort efi, the red type are electrically and mechanically the same, the only difference is the color and ford price. I have fitted loads to cosworths and never had any problems.
Thanks Tectim"
edited cos i spelt cosworth wrong

read my post again i mentioned both of them
the remote ISCV fitted to early xr2i's looked the same as the FRST one on the side of the plenum it was just fitted on the bulkhead behind the inlet not by the airbox.
it did not look like a cosworth ISCV no matter what the end plastic colour is.
a EECIV ISCV was a lot thinner too

I understand what your saying mate. I also know what you are talking about. however the two ISCV you are talking about look the same just mounted different.
The one in the pic (ebay) is the same design as the Cosworth ISCV but was fitted to the XR2i it is RED and not the same impedence as far as i know.

we was probly told the same thing then Gadget
But the other peeps on this thread seem to think that the ISCV does not come on a Fiesta XR2i
IT DOES AND WAS FITTED TO SOME MODELS OF THE EFi CARS!!!!!
I will take a pic of a fezzy with the ISCV on just to settle the argument!

Also if you read the comment from the seller of this item!
My original question was do these ISCV work on weber? NOT what car are they off as i already know that

It is an XR2i one, they are mounted ontop of the airbox with a little plastic holder. I had one, its at Simon Js now, and he's the man who will tell you if it works, IIRC it did. I think the only difference was a diode?

Slightly off topic but does anyone know of remote iscv i can use with 2.0 zetec mangement?
Ive recently fitted a focus inlet manifold and the revs now stick when changing gear and i think it is down to a slight incompatibility with the focus iscv and mondeo management.
Cheers

Sunil, use a Fiesta XR2i (not as seen above...they are early ones and rare), but most xr2is have what looks like a FRST one (from side of inlet), bolted to an ally block.
Thats ideal for you mate
