Not sure if this will help you, but I have a Greddy boost controller and it isn't connected to the engine management in any way.

I didn't know that was possible, certainly not with mine. I got the Profect B spec 2, it's good, holds the boost well, and "learns", so if the boost fluctuates a bit after a few runs it will do its best to iron it out.

I never really played with mine, only used it for mapping and the high/ low boost feature.

why not just have it lived mapped? as the p8 has closed loom boost control,,,
would cost the same as a controller

fiesta cossie, I thought you said you didn't suffer surge problems, or are you on about another turbo?

Ditto what Gareth said, you have the hardware to control boost already in the P8. (although you'll possibly need air injectors if you haven't already)

my old md240r turbo didnt suffer from surge.

but my new one, which has a larger ex housin and comp wheel, suffers slightly.

i want a boost controller, as easier than a full remap.

i never knew p8 is closed loop,

I see

Yep, for 'old' technology, the P8 it actually quite a good bit of kit.
