Hi, does anyone know where to get a fuel relay (pink) from as i cant seem to find anywhere that sells them? I had to change mine the other but lucky emough my mate had one which he was given. Just want to get a spare one as i am toled that they are prone to going wrong.

i wanted to get another one cos the one he gave me looked like its been kicked around abit so i wanted to get another to just be on the save side. ill give fords a call tomorrow and find out. cheers

 

Another problem is if you drill holes in bulkhead to run wires from engine bay into car on drivers side, if not properly filled up either by a rubber grommet or silicone, water can run down the wires and drop onto the relay.. happened to me once in an XR3i.

Maybe you could go to a local scrappy and get all the relays out of as many XR3i's as you can find?

yeah £24 from fords...i got one and a spare.....mine was running a small black fuel pump relay....got one fo them spare too!

I think S1's have a different fuel ECU to the S2 though...

 

I keep offering to fix the S1 and S2 relays every time I see a post about a failed pump relay but no-one takes up my offers!!!

When they fail, I can repair some of them. Not all of them but a few can be salvaged to live again.

 

Finally got a new relay to day from fords £25. Now its fitted had no problems so im guessing the fuel pump is fine. cheers for your help
