Default Insurance let down (ne suggestions welcome)

Insurance runs out on the RS on 18/08/05..

Call my insurers (the infamous HIC) to see if they could extend it until the end of sept, which is when its T&T expires.. and they wont, they where just blunt as hell..

so now il be left with the car stuck in the garage with t&t for the rest of summer.. totally gutted!

Keep it insured for 12 months of the year as it covers you for theft.

^^totally agree.
just put limited mileage and some companies allow you to put it on a kind of off-road storage for a bit which gets it down even more.

You can cancel or suspend a policy anytime including ones payed in full or payed monthly.

Some re credit you by cheque and some hold it in credit until you next renew.

Carnt you just get a refund on your car tax, i no it wont be much, but its cheaper than taking another policy out for 12 months. All depends how much your gonna use the car over the winter months mate.

think what im going to do is save the money id spend insuring it, and have it sent off to the body shop whilst its still summer. the money id saved 2 have it done had to go on a new car after my accident, so once my compo and everything comes through il have the money to spend on the car.
