The blue starter motor wire...
there shouldnt be a blue mate for a starter if were talking rst or any ford
the blue whire is your battery light and should have a connector nxt to the starter and then go to alternator
the only wires you should have are
big red main power straight from battery
black with red trace this is the crank wire and is ither spade or push on fitment

ah I see, ops, I assumed it was the blue wire.
so the black with red trace is the wire that basically tells the starter to turn. Does that wire go live or does it earth out?

ok cheers m8.
heres the background.
turn the key to position 3 and the starter doesnt move. Not even a click. Anything driven off position 1 goes off (as normal while they key is in position 3)
There is nothing wrong with the car as it wil bump start and is completly fine. I suspect either immobiliser has packed up on that circuit or starter is fooked. So wanted to see if it will crank over with just a direct live on that small wire to discount any problems with immobiliser.
