Right would this be overkill on a (soon to be)stg3 cos doing a handful of track days per year?

No mate i think its a must for track use. high speed cornering oil moves around and away from the pick up

im thinking about getting one. just one thing that you need to take into consideration

the extra oil needed. you need to buy 2 tubs of oil to do a oil change

just its a shitter having 4.5 litres of oil lying around that you can only for tops ups.

unless you buy more.
