http://www.adslguide.org.uk/

Have a look through the List links to get an idea of what packages are available from which providers, then use the Compare link to see what people think of the providers you've shortlisted. When you've got it down to a few, pop onto the Message Boards, and see what current opinion is like for those providers...

BT for me - No issues at all.

Remember BT feed 90% of other ADSL providers in this country !!!!

BT are the only ones I'd go for right now - Bulldog looks interesting but like a lot of new-ish companies their customer service is likely to be the last thing they invest in.

BT are also the only residential provider I can name who have almost 100% up-time - Wanadoo seem to be in the habit of disconnecting the link every 24 hours for a minute or two, and NTL are appallingly badly behaved when it comes to billing and collecting money.

All just limited personal experience though, so take it with a big pinch of salt!

Telewest 1 meg and never had any problems in the last 2 years. Only reason I didnt get BT is that it wasnt available at the time but I have no reason to change

I use BT as well - no problems for since I signed up (2 or 3 years ago I think!) So if I have to recommend someone it would be them.
