Default Fare increases as a result of terrorist attack

Do NOT read if you dont like things in bad taste.

I dont want complaints from someone they are all offended and upset.

London transport have announced a significant increase in fare prices as a results of the terrorist attack.

It now costs an arm and a leg to travel on the tube, and bus fare prices have gone through the roof.

Entirely my view mate.

I feel nothing but compassion for those involved and their familes, and it was terrible, but the british spirit has always been to laugh in the face of our enemies and anything they do to us.

By reducing the actions to a joke, i think it lessens the real impact in terms of terror and hence isnt what the terrorist want, but obviously other people feel differently.

i guess that as far as i know none of us were directly affected by the bombings, so some who has just lost a loved one may see things differently, but you gave ample warnings so no one can can critisise you posting it mate

I`m sorry but i don`t see the funny side of up to 75 people dying is in the most horrible way.

My girlfriend was within a 100 metres of the bus bomb and past the tube bombs sites on the tube and is now only coming to terms with it.
The british way is to continue as normal difiantly, not to make pathetic jokes about someones suffering, she knows someone who spend 12 hours in the tunnels in up to 50c before being carried out, and he had two legs amputated.

WHAT IS SO FUNNY ABOUT THAT??????????????????????????????

read the start of the thread man, dont get ur arse up in the air, i can sympathise with what you have said but plenty of warning was given

it is the british way to be able to laugh at our own misfortune, you try tellin a joke like that to an american audiance about 911 and the reception is far different

fair enough there was a warning at the start of the thread and come on jokes always get made about anything bad that happens in life but thats life but on the other hand i can also see it from that persons point of veiw aswell see i thought it was funny but im like that i laugh at all the bad jokes but on the other hand if my missuis or family freinds were that close to getting killed or killed and youve seen them all destraught cus of it or lost people cus of it i would have a total different veiw so dont be harsh to the guy think how youd react

The title sounded as if it were a sensible thread, it if it were "Unsensitive jokes about other peoples pain and suffering" then i would have not read it.

I`m not being stupid, some jokes just aren`t funny like the jokes about the tsnami vicums.

The point is some bastards who are not true islams have killed people of my country, and upset my girlfriend and her co workers. I want to see these bastards brought to justice, it is my opioin that is not funny as i`m sure a great proportion of people here do.

My girlfiend went to work the day after as many people did, that is what makes be proud to be british, not making jokes in bad taste.
The emergency services did a very good job and we all coped well, to me that is what i use to laugh at the bombers - that they failed to stop the british way of life.

people make jokes out of anything. yes it is a terrible thing that has happened and me and Rad saw one of the train wrecks down the A40 which was very sad to see. i hate the bastards that done it and im glad some of them died when they did it but as for this topic he did put a warning you didnt have to read it after you saw the warning. i was in the Ealing bomb that went off a few years ago that was scary it wasnt nice. but there was jokes about that.

I will admit i have laughed at bad jokes before(nowhere near as bad as these), but three things inclined me to write:
1) I`m stilll having to deal with the situation
2) Not everyones body has been recovered
3) The title was missleading regardless of the warning at the start

Even if i were not involved directly, I could not even bring myself to laugh from a morality stand point, thats just me, i do not expect every to follow what i believe though.

How did you manage to not notice the warnings?

I cant see hows that even vaugely possible for any normal person????

I dunno, you make an idiot proof warning system, and then along comes a bigger idiot

what happened was NOT funny, we are ALL appaulled by it, we all wish the injured well and the familes of the dead, and we ALL hope that the terrorists are brought to justice swiftly.

no one disagrees with any of that, but some people find humour a good way of blunting this threat, to laugh at it means you can come to terms with it and not be living your life in fear of it.

Thats some people, others will not find it funny, and hence i warned them thoroughly!

I agree with chip, It's obviously less funny for those involved/nearby etc. But it really does take the terror away.

Why live in fear when you can laugh about it. I really feel for the families involved though.

the warning was fair though.

Thats my view
Can you do us a joke about the 2 girls that were murdered by Ian Huntley? Sure you can get Manchester United into it somewhere as they were wearing the shirts! How about a joke at the expense of a raped woman? Something along the lines of she kept saying NO! Or Margaret Hassan (the British Charity worker) being decapitated by terrorists in Iraq. Loosing her head perhaps.

My view is that, its one thing to laugh at Terrorists. Make fun of Bin Laden and suicide bombers by all means. Its entirely another to laugh at the victims. And to write "we wont change our life to suit them" and all the talk of stoicism in the media is bullshit to be honest. Lives have been altered.

Oh and BTW. When Richard Whitely died somebody pointed out that Pneumonia was a 9 letter word. As he didnt take himself to seriously I feel he would have smiled at that. So thats acceptable to make a little joke about someone whose died.

Yes i must admit, i`m an niave idiot to think that no one would make such an insensitive joke at the expense of the vicims, before there bodys have been recovered.

A joke does take the edge of tense situations, but thoses jokes are discusting.
Those are jokes the terroists will find entertaining.

Rich w i`m glad you a least have morals!

If i were not involved i would still be disgusted, but not motivated to post.

You were warned it was a joke quite adequately. Or are you one of those proffessional moaners?

There were 280,840 road casualties in Great Britain in 2004

34,351 people were killed or seriously injured in 2004

Figures supplied by the Department of Transport

If i were a professional moaner i would have "moaned" about the stupid tsunami jokes, that was also in poor taste.
Last time I checked the thousands of people that died driving was not a terrorist attack. And what if your wife/girlfriend/ partner died or was injured or just upset by a future attack, i`m sure you will be the first person to find it funny?

Road accidents are an unfortunate fact of life, suicide bombers shouldn`t be.

Fuck me, get off your moral high horses.

The man gave you all plenty warning, if you felt you would be disturbed by the joke, dont read it,

You have no right to moan the face of him because he has poor taste, he gave you plenty of warning.

This is one thing that annoys me about the internet, people being all politacally correct, and ranting on about shite because it makes them feel that they are better than the rest of us, seriously, get a grip for fucks sake

Road accidents are 'an unfortunate fact of life' because you want a car and don't want the inconvenience of being without one. Notwithstanding that most 'accidents' are caused by somebody.

Suicide bombers? Do you know something the police dont?
