They can make music louder & clearer, TV's better, PC's that turn your house alarm on/off but they cant help or prolong your life because of this

..I just want to hide away from this shitty and cruel world at times

lost too many family members to it, totally agree with you Nath, the government will spend tens of millions on the dome but not on the health service and cancer research

it is a horrible way to go Lost many family members to it

No point blaming the government tho. There is only so much money can do, the rest is trial and error. Money is no good if theres nothing to buy....theres only so much they can try!

I wish they had made a cure by now

As then my Daughter could of carried on playing on the swings in the park with her Grampy.
She could of carried on riding her pink Barbie bike with her Grampy
She could of slept in her own bedroom when she stayed the night with her Grampy
She could of grown up hugging her Grampy
She could Kiss her Grampy

FUCKING CANCER

Right ive decided to say it on this post as i know it is not a nice thing at all. A few people on and off the board have asked me why ive been a bit wierd or strange at the moment but ive actually got Cancer myself Im doing ok, im positive and with my friends around me im doing all good. I was told i had it about 8weeks ago now and im having Radiotherapy and things are going ok. I didnt tell anyone for about 2/3wks and my parents still dont know. Uts a long story regarding my parents, dont ask. I think i didnt say anything because i thought i could deal with it but it was harder than i thought. I hope your ok Nath, if you want to chat send me a message

But i would like to say please support Billy in his fund raiser not for my sake but to help with this bastard disease.

cheeRS

As bad as it is, it's not all bad news folks. Both me and my Dad survived it. The father in law has also survived it.

Keep your chin up and you'll pull through. I'm cetain a lot of it has to do with mental strength and not giving up.

Very sorry to hear that diamonds, i hope you get well soon. And with friends like these pal im sure you will get all the needed support.

My grandad died of cancer when i was about 14,its not nice at all.

Its only when you get talking to people you realise how many younger people are getting it these days.

Good luck with the fund raising aswell its a very good idea

DONTATE your pc for cancer research!

I've been doing it for 4-5 years now.... it might just come up with a cure.

Hi

Both my parents were diagnosed with cancer in 2001... 3 months apart, been together 40 yrs, dad died, mum lived and still in remission, hope it stays that way, as people have said, its not always bad all the time and they have come a long way into trying to cure it. Two of my friends have had it, they are now fine after 8 and 10 yrs.

Its one of the few charities I give to and im still involved with cancer support center.

when i was a lil nipper of about 12 maybe 13, i found a lump on me left shoulder - showed it me mum and we went to hospital, spent an hour or so waiting in the a+e and then went to see a nursey/doctor person.

turned out to be a lyphoma - however you spell it, went and had emergency surgery and had it removed the same day. Tests showed that it wasn't a spreading one but was growing at an alarming rate where it was

all i have to show for it now is a nice scar on me shoulder - luckily!!!

nasty thing it is - there should be a cure for it - but there probably won't for years

and yes, i am on the lean side weight wise

Hope everythings ok Nath!

Rob, shocked to hear that mate, it's not often you come across something as serious as this in life so it's always awkward to know what to say, but I sincerely hope everything goes well and you make a full and speedy recovery!

If you need to chat to someone neutral then just stick me on msn and we'll have a natter

I think this question nearly everyday!

Rob, I'm really sorry to hear that m8 (are you still on the same number as my last text to you on Saturday wasn't delivered)

Guys, Gals, you've read me slightly wrong on this one. I'm ok and just been working a lot recently so not been able to post. A friend of mine has had some bad news and it just got me thinking how medieval things in this world are at times but I really do appreciate the time some of you have took out to either call or text me, etc though ...its nice to know I have some good mates on here

I didnt think this post would attract much response but without sounding MR Doom & Gloom, its nice to know how others feel about it and to share their experiences. Its just a shame more cant be done about this, when you know you'll be burrying someone close soon

Every death of a fammily member has been cancer apart from my gran

Makes you wonder sometimes if the drug companies are happy making millions from what they sell now to cancer patients,.
If they find a cure they would loose millions ,dark thought i know but you never know
