My nan had meningitis (sp) breast cancer twice (came back after op) and had a really slow and painful death while living with us, they tried everything they could think of and had never ending hospital visits and stays, fair play to them but it wasnt enough, same as your dad mate, she died a shadow of her former self, horrible disease
