Default What blocks suit a cossie head for Normally Aspirated

Obviously, 200 and 205, are there any others that are suitable off a run off the mill sierra ?

If so, would there be a benefit in running a cossie head, I think you can get close to 200bhp without a turbo ?

any pinto block will be fine, you will need to use proper forged intruder pistons and have a lot of head work done,

Thanks pete, excuse my ignorance, but which sierra models had a pinto block, or if easier, which didn't

Obviously, XR4x4 and XR4i didn't

So could you put a cossie head on the engine from a 2.0 dohc sierra? e.g. the GLSi? Was that pinto bottom end too?

glsi 2.0 dohc is the i4 engine very different. 1800 sierra is a crapo cvh. Get a new transit 202 block or just a a good 205 block from alater sierra or tranny. You will need to change pistons and skim head to raise compression. Will need to open up the ports a lot. Will need new cams and manual followers. Then fueling to look at twin 45`s min.
