Youd be a fool not to think anything else but a full on 16V zetec is better.

Better in every way, surely

they'll all be the same id guess??

Depends who builds it, and with zetec you've probably got more option with rods and pistons then you have with a cvh, so its hard to say

If you want reliable then avoid 16v, the 8v head will limit power and hence make it last longer

It may or may not be based in fact and be just in the relm of fiction but it is thought that the ZVH with the 8v head is actually better for torque figures low down, but looses steam at high RPM because the head does not flow as well.

But the 16v head is better at the top end (bhp) because of its better better flow, but produces less torque low down.

Could be wrong, but thats the common line of thought with them.
