Default clifford smart windows 4

has any1 got an instalation guide/wiring diagram for the above, a cliford dealer wants £120 to wire it into my g5 system, after looking at the control box there is only a handful of wires (mainly the window control wiring) the hard bit is finding which one goes where? can anyone help? cheers.

alarms are a case by case baisis. 120 sounds about right for a involved install. Clifford alarms are ususally pretty involved and wire through out the car.

basically you sit down with the diagram that came with the alarm and the diagram to the car and go at it. making sure the voltages are going the right way and going to function correctly.

I have seen some bad alarm installs. the worst being that when you turned on the lights it would activate the alarm, and the locks no longer worked.

I have yet to install my alarm.. to do it right the car needs to be striped of most cosmetic stuff (dash, door panels...).

have fun.

the actual main alarm is in the car which was installed by clifford and was a very expensive installation. the smart windows is just an accesory to operate the windows from the alarm fob, there is 8 or 10 wires involved and the clifford dealer said it would only take 45 mins. to me 120 quid sound a bit extreme for 45 mins of work. the live an earth wires are not a prob an from what i can work out from the other wiring your gonna split the live feed up an the live feed down an run each side of the wire to the control unit. jus wanted to confirm it with an installation guide before i started.

ohh, thats what yah mean..

yah, sounds about right.

Post the two diagrams and maybe one of us can help.

you can also use a voltameter to figure out how the power is bing used in the connections and from that figure out how to wire it.
