Fuel Pump On My S2 RST Wont Switch Off

can sum1 tell me if the fuel pump on my escort rst is meant 2 stay on permanently once the ignitions on. just noticed it doing it recently

it should prime on ignition, not everytime though, try your pink fuel pump relay under the drivers side dash
