I got a Magnex system fitted to my S2 RST, and it appears to make a Whisking noise at around 3000 rpm, its a strange noise maybe like air rushing through, i dunno ?

The car is totally standard and the exhaust is on correctly, i thought it was loose or something to start with.

Any ideas guys? or is this normal

and no its not the turbo whistle

 

are the nuts that hold the manifold to head loose or the gasket blown?

 

i thought it was somthing like that, but ive checked and ive had it checked out from Ford when it was in for a service :/

They said they couldnt see any problems , and didnt know where the noise was coming from :/

that could well be your problem m8 (not alot of main Ford dealers know enough) imo maybe better of taking it to someone that actually knows about turbos where abouts are you

AVA is prob your best bet

 

Ive read alot about meets at AVA, i dont really know much about the place is there a website or something where i can get more info?

r u sure your flexi pipe doesnt make that noise as mine does it at around 3000rpm but its more of a buzzing sound. And is noticed the most in idle at 3000rpm

 

hi m8 deff sounds like the flexi pipe,i have fitted a few and it was the flexi every time it can let of an air sound or wistling noise hope this helps.tommy
