S2 RST misfire in every gear at 5500 rpm , fiited new dizzy leads plugs ,fuel filter temp sensor and have now chipped car with complete new ecu and fuel ecu, have been advised to change injectors for new ones have you any other idea's thanks this is driving me crazy???//

 

my mate had same prob in his frst! his cam was fooked!

 

sounds like want a cam and tapets m8, also try a thicker oil cause if the oil too thin the teppets wont work as good so wont let it rev very good either

 

have you had fueling checked on rollers? get it up to tony from ART in wakefield, he will run it up for ya. But i have to agree with other lads aswell, if your top end isnt right they stuggle to rev, mine was effortless after 5k before i changed my shit piper springs for a set of double valve springs.

 

many different possibilities... does it 'tap' at idle or under heavy load? if so either lifters arent pressurising or the cam is fooked.
i assume it does it when you get to 5.5k and above..? if so it may be pinking under load.. what boost is it running and who was the car set up by?

car was set up by well lane turbo's and there was no mention of a cam problem , has a noisy tapped when cold but not over noisy, we are gunna presure test the fueling in next few days also think it maybe the old alarm cutting in but a cam is a posible i suppose but you would have thought well lane would know that??????

it only pulled 167bhp up to 5500 ,

 

also the car is only running 14 psi and have turn boosted almost of down to 7 psi and still the problem is there , the car goes like hell upto 5500 , the cam was next on the list of mods so it will be a worty attempt
