dump valve for S2
hi all
simple question really, what dump valve do you recommend fitting to a S2?
i've had bailey single piston, bailey twin piston and turbosmart all recommended to me from different people, don't know who is right though

I would personally recommend not fitting a dump valve to an S2. They make them run a bit crappy if you ask me, and really tend to get on your tits after a while.
If you must fit a dump valve, a bailey single piston will suffice... I've had these on both s2's ive owned (and have removed both of um as soon as I got the car home
)
Hope this helps

tho that is a dam good idea!
haha i wasn't expecting this sort of response! i've never really had a problem with dump valves on RST's or RGT's or anything
a dump valve on a shitty little car would be wack! but on a RST i think its aiight
btw guys i'm not putting any stupid neons, tacky lexus/clear rear lights, custom spoilers, silly rims, seatbelt cusions, or max power sitckers on the car, its a standard RST, stage 3 turbo, currently 200BHP, mint inside and out, paid a lot for it and i have no intention of slashing its value with a bunch of tacky mods (just a DV and maybe a boost gauge) i've never driven a car with a dump valve so i thought i'd put one on, all my mates are pushing me to get one, and besides i swear i read somewhere that it helps protect the turbo by realeasing pressure, that could be BS though?
anyways thanks for the replies, i've never heard of forge motorsport, they any good?

If you must fit one a Bailey twin piston job is about as good as they get. TBH don't bother though. Best thing I did was remove mine and file it in my spares drawer.
If you are running a T4 turbo or in excess of 30psi then you should probably fit one. I run 250bhp on 25psi and do not use a dumpvalve. I've had no probs so far in 2 years despite my enthusiastic driving style and a track day under its belt

Nah m8, leave it off. But for £35 then its worth having it off james just so u can realise how much they do your head in...And for god sake never ever go on a motorway with 1 i was gonna launch it into the field till i realised i had nothing to blank it off with
