Default LSD or not?

Just recently bought a E Reg 2wd crystal Blue cossie, i was just woundering if anybody knows if it will be LSD on the diff or not?

Yes M8 if its the original diff then it should be an LSD

Cheers mate, how can i check, is it like a RST by if jacking it up the wheels will spin the same way or does this not apply?

Just jack up 1 wheel and see if you can spin it easy. It should turn but it should give quite a bit of resistance.
If you can spin it with a fart then you have the diff out of a 1.8GLS or something like that
The cossies also have larger output flanges on the diff as the drive shaft C/Vs are larger.

will an open diff bolt to cossie drive shafts and prop or are the output sizes that different?

Not sure if every sierra diff is the same except the cossie but here are a couple of pics.

1st one show's a 2wd cossie flange at aprox 4 1/2" across

2nd one shows a granada cossie flange at aprox 4" across.

I beleive that the granada diff has standard size flanges on it but dont quote me on that.

Thats about all i can give you M8 hope it helps.

the 2wd cossie uses a 108 flange
everything else uses a 100mm flange
so it's either a fcuked diff or someone has swapped the whole caboodle over if it's not got an lsd in it
