Right since doing my head gasket and putting it all back together the car is fookin loud at idle. The car has always pulsed at idle due to very lairy top end cams and it still does...just louder.
The backbox is fully sealed,no leaks, as is the downpipe joint to the rest of the system. manifold has a new gasket to the head and isnt leaking, neither is the manifold to down pipe. With the bonnet open the noise is coming from the bottom back of the engine(near where the exhaust downpipe to system joint is but im 99% sure its sealed(+ i put loads of exhaust putty round it to help seal). even if it appears to not be leaking is there a possibility it is and is there anyway to full proof seal it?
Oh and my stupid theory is that when the head gasket was leaking it was losing compression and exhaust gas compression so it was quieter and now that its all sealed its got louder as it has its full system pressure.... stupid or makes sense, lol, you decide
