This post is to thank Mark Shead and Autronic for getting my car to run
a fantastic time of 9.3 sec over the 1/4 mile.
my car has run faultlessly since the day Mark mapped the car
at Burnters last July
If anyone is thinking of going for a after market Ecu this is proof
that the Autronic is well up to the job,no need for you to spend silly money.
The main thing that is needed when mapping a ecu is the person that is
working the Laptop,looking at the Afr,listening for Det plus telling you what to do.

This is where Mark in my eyes comes into a league of his own
he is right up to speed with the Autronic software and has the mechanical
knowledge of how a engine needs to work.
He is able to map anything from a 200 bhp RS turbo to a
900+ bhp skyline and last week a 1500 bhp speed boat.

Anyone thinking of going Autronic go for it,money well spent.

Getting boring hearing about marks sucesses, i wish he would fail just once so that we had some interesting news, but based on what ive heard about the guy i cant see that happening any time soon

Awesome car you have there Keith and I am certain a mid 8sec run is not far away. Enjoyed the write on your monster in Jap Perf. RB and MAD both really know their onions.

The engine,gearbox and diffs have all had a full strip down and rebuild
last week,this was so that we could have a look to see how things were standing
up to the power the engine is now making.everything inc the gearbox was like new
better to be safe than sorry.

I now have to go and do about 600 miles in my road car to run the engine in
then get mark back in the passenger seat for some more mapping before
we run it at TOTB hope to do better than last year.

Engines built just waiting on Nismo input shaft to arrive then in she goes on an Apexi to run it in on a weekend trip to Skye then off to Mark for the SM4/CDI/MAPPING. I have an 0S88/2 on my shopping list next and possibly some top mounts for next year so maybe I can piss with the big boys come TOTB 2006 LOL.
I have brakes up to spec now but suspension is next mission.

Hi Paul, I have been chasing and chasing and chasing. Mark is just waiting on a few very custom components to be completed by Mountune....well should I say I've been waiting for one thing in particular since over a year and a half now. I keep getting told that we are almost there now...just used to playing the waiting game mate. I would rather things are got right instead of rushing them but over a year waiting for this is getting a bit frustrating now. I am getting married in end of Auguest so after over a year or so waiting for this I have to prioritise the wedding preps over the car in the short term. Still calling them every other day chasing...but like I said very frustrated and still waiting.

 

18 months is definately taking the piss Trouble is, yours is a private project and probably comes way down their priority list unless you pay way over the odds
