driving down the local a road with the pedal pressed firmly to the floor in 5th, we wont go into how fast but for legal reasons it was the speed limit..... anyway big bang blue smoke so i backed off dreading the worst and rolled slowy to the nearest petrol station had a quick look and nothing seem out of place any way i put petrol in and drove off, seems fine now any i deas on what it cud be, im scared

my mate done exhactly the same thing but urs dont sound bad compaired to his he melted 2 pistons and fooked the head he was doing 155 for ten mins on private road of course

 

wel "after i came off of the a road onto a private road" i was doing 145 when it went pop. but if it had done a piston in it wouldnt of run to well on the way back, but it seemed fine

 

What was your ACT temps at that speed for that amount of time?

igntion cut off makeing a big bang noise and smoke as that wold be fuel is the car mis fiering

 

i think its the smoke that worried me the most. as it was blue smoke

 

check your plugs mate, mine done this and number for the tip broke off but lucky for me it came straight out the exhaust

 

Yeah but it ran fine on the limp home, wouldn't have done that on 3...

 

havnt checked the plugs but it was fine on the way home and it is fine now althoughit has used abit of water but is not over heating.....
