temp gauge not working

Default temp gauge not working

HELP as above, fan kicked in and everything but gauge won't move at all not good on hot days like today.

Also today the car was idealing at 900 rpm and once cut out, was only set up about 6 weeks ago and has been running fine until today. any ideas

.Forgot to mention had trouble starting her up lastnight before i went over to maidstone

Turn on the ignition and disconnect the wire from the sender,touch the wire off the engine and the needle should move.If it moves that shows the guage is ok and the sender is broke,if it doesnt move either the guage is broke or the wire could have a break in it.Regards Micky

Have you had the gauge cluster out ? I fitted a ACT gauge today and once done and started car up the temp gauge didnt work.. If you take the gauge cluster out and look on the back behind the temp gauge there a circuit board that presses on the back of the gauge.....mine had come loose... Just push it back on....
