Default Best brake pads for RST?

What pads would be best for 90% road use and 10% track use on a 200bhp RST?

Have got Tarox groved and drilled std rst size discs and had minex 1144's but squeak like hell I got a set of EBC greens in at the moment and will see how i get on with them but am interested to find a better pad to use.

What sort of temperatures would you expect to see from a RST brakes on track ?

Was thinking Ferodo DS2000 as they say stable upto 550 ºc or the Ferodo DS2500 upto 500 ºc. Anyone else use these pads ?

EBC green pads say they also work upto 550 ºc but never been a big fan of green pads as they dont seem to bite as well as mintex from cold or when they get very hot.

I would always use either a std Ferodo or Mintex pads. The greens are nasty, and tend to depsoit crap on the disc. I tracked a car on std road pads but cossie discs at donno and never had any problems. Ur always going to get sqeal with the fast road pads, and they don't bite as well cold. It takes 15 mins to swap pads, so get urself some race pads for track days if ur worried.

Yeah know what your saying Rick and am tempted to try a set of Ferodo pads to see how they compair to mintex.

i can change the pads in 12 and half mins now So the race pads could be an option.

Will the race pads damage the discs if you run them just for track and then swap them back over to a road pad?
