One thing i can say about the build is this...Cometic engine gasket kit is fucking top!..The quality of gaskets is so much better than the std parts!....and yes i retained using the std exhaust gaskets the only shitty cometic gasket!

 

So I take it it's 300mph on the cards then.

Good luck to you mate....I just hope anyone who is considering building a car capable of doing over 180mph let alone 200mph realises exactly how it feels IF they haven't been that fast before. From experience the jump from 160mph to 180mph is massive (mind you probably a little safer in a Cossie than a stripped Fiesta)....god knows what 200mph feels like hopefully soon I might even get the oppertunity to experience it myself. Only going on what Mark and a few of my other crazy mates who have done a geneuine 200mph say and it's flocking CRAYZAY!

Yes your turbo is being used...i think adequate for the bhp i am hoping for.

 

I still cant see it feeling much faster than my approx 430bhp conversion before That was flocking scary quick in a RWD ...Will another nigh on 200 horses make much difference?

I think 190 will prove to be out of reach at Brunters. Best set my 183 or Ades 185 as your targets Phil. That will put you into the Top 4 you aint got the Knowledge to go higher.

What a nonsense comment, was purely a case of having a passenger slows you down when accelerating, and for obivous reasons Mark wanted to be in the car when Rod drove it to keep an eye on things.

The Fensport corrolla got quicker by exactly the same amount (a few mph) when SteveN got out of the passenger seat and the guy drove it solo.

 

TBH it was feck all to do with that it seemed.

The first run he just hit the brakes well early.

Last run (3mph more) he broke far later.

On all the group thrashes we did at J-tuner, the extra weight of 1 person seemed to have very little effect on times infact

Suprising really.

 

The extra passenger isn't going to make hardly any diffierence on top speed. Once you start getting into silly speeds it's all about aerodynamics, raw power, balls and the single thing that most people get wrong....gearing. The weight plays more part in the initial acceleration, the less weight you have the less power you will need to thrust it forward.

 

Fair enough, makes sense i guess, the main battle is with the air at 200mph more than weight i suppose.

The facts are only 4 Cossies have exceeded 185 at Brunters & two 600+ cars prepared by well Known tuners have failed to break 180 recently& kept quiet about it.
I have prepared a car thats done 200 there so have some idea what its about & its approx 50% about Power. Too many people who aint tried it making comments im afraid.
