Default WHAT MAKES THE FLUTTER?

As above guys just so i know for sure , i do know i think but also would not want to say it out loud and does filter sizes/boost effect noise i take it the more boost the louder the noise is ? what filters the best for 2wd saff ? or do the filters not make that much difference ?

It's the wastegate vibrating against the compressor blades, and it makes the throttle plate wiggle around in its housing

It's the compressor wheel chopping at the air that is trying to stall it. (because the butterfly is closed and it has nowhere else to go)

If the wastegate gets anywhere near to your blades heeman then you have some VERY serious problems with your turbo!!!!

As mr cossie has said, its an acoustic effect you hear from the blades of the fan chopping up the boost coming back at them, like when you blow onto a desk fan.

No you put grp a K&N filter, to which boxxer replied whats one of them, so i thought i best point out that a cone filter is what you meant, just so boxxer understands what we are all going on about

Its not something that needs any discussion, it is caused by the pressure coming back at the blades, it doesnt matter how many alternative views people put up it wont change the facts!

yeah gus said the non techy version of what chip wrote

think it is as ya will of when ya blowing a engine and the mechanic saying "its fucked mate" rather than sayin, it leaned out on number 4 then the tip of the plug got hot and then that ignighted the fuel before the spark making pre ingniton and then making the engine get too holt and melted the piston

means the same thing though

Yes Paul - i believe flocking the drive shaft or prop will cause some sort of a noise.
I hope that helps

no d/v and it will chatter. . saying that some 4 cars chatter then dump when runing a d/v

a large cone will prob help rather thana small one. .well i think ive heard that but??

2wd might not chatter as much as a 4x4 as 4bys have a T34 as aposed to a 2wd's 3?

and more boost will make more whoooboobooboboboo
