i have recently noticed that i am losing water. i have not long ago done a complete rebuild. i have changed the rad for a new one but it seems like the water pressure is to much. could this be the water pump! any help would be much appreiciated.

 

water pump WONT cause there to be too much pressure in the system,how much water are you loosing? have you pressure tested the cooling system?could be as simple as the header tank cap may need replacing.

 

im losing about a pint a week. there is definatly no leaks i can see. the blocked was tested before i had the pistons fitted. it seems the pressure is too much.might jus be me but it doesnt seem right.

 

could be the head gasket?cracked block or head porous etc

head gaskets can go and NOT affect the performance of the engine apart from loose water all the time(out the exhaust). what's your spec and what h/g you using.

 

its stage 3 with t34 turbo,stage3 bajo chip ,3 bar map sensor and im using a group a head gaskett.it also has rs500 intercoolerand the standard block fitted with some mahrle pistins.

 

could something simple like the thermostat not working also check metal pipes on the turbo they some times crack without you knowing

 

intrsting mine also looses water similar spec engine and about pint a week just fitted new rad and turbo but still loosing water
