Default gearbox oil

alright boys, was wondering what oil to use for a fresh build 4x4 box, and which one for future use, the car has 400bhp with 329 lb ft

for the motor usually you want a light weight like 30w without detergents for the first 1,000miles or so. changing the oil 2 or 3 times in there though.
however for the 4x4 box, I am not to sure. right now I am more worried about getting the replacement box and/or it fixed.

I am though, curious what everyone else uses in their gear boxes, and transfer case.
my ford 4x4 manual says 80w for the gearbox and 90w for the front and rear differentials, and auto fluid for the transfer case.

however all my auto store had was some 70-90 gear oil.
