Piper 285t2 is the one to go for

Heard nothing but praise for it

Kent seem to be a bit hit and miss and wear very quickly

Cheers lads

I have a kent cam but its worn at only 10k..was thinking a piper t2 with double valve springs and anti pump lifters...

The newman cam sounds ok from what plp have said but abit on the pricey side..as he said you can only use the solid lifters with it..which means buying a clamping tool etc aswell.

Anyone fitted the newman solid lifters there selfs? what are they like for adjusting?

i have fitted three of there cams, the not as hard as i first thought all you need is a feeler gauge and the clamp tool, when you are ready i could fit it for you only, reason they use solid lifters is because hydralic lifters would knock out the lobes on chill cast steel cams which is what newman grind there cams out of, the good thing they last much longer then kent or piper

they come with a lock nut and a bolt in the middle of them, you have to turn the screw until you have the Desired clearance and then take it out and lock the follower in the clamp to tighten the nut.takes a while to get it right 8-10 inlet 10-12 exhaust
