Hi all,
My car doesn't seem to won't to boost as high as it did a few weeks back and also seems to lack the puch it had before.
I cleaned all my engine bay last week and noticed that when I went to start the car gasses were leaking from the gasket inbetween the Exhaust Manifold and Turbo. I am going to sort this out but was wondering if this could be the problem with the boost.
Cheers
Dave

sure can.. gotta think of the ammount of leakage you are doing not only at idle.. but at wot and upper rpm's.. get a new gasket goin and see if that did it, or it's something else as well

hi
it sounds like you have a boost leak eg pipes or the dump valve is weak
or poss the turbo housing where the waste gate sits is cracked and turbo has to spin harder to compensate fot it (its common). but dont just buy a turbo. If you take the turbo off and remove the elbow you will see if its cracked.
good luck and let us know.
