Default So what IS up with Pf?

And how comes the "Watched Topics" and "Search" buttons have gone?

Are we still having upgrades done?

whwnever you do a searh youre executing a sql query thats searching thru a relational database... with ba DB like you get on a forum like this, it takes a HUGE ammount of power to process such requests (also remembering the overheads youve got for people viewing, posting etc.) oh and dont forget the php->sql link which is never perfect.

the fact the search buttons EVER worked is a shock to me

I've not been able to get on for a couple of days now as it keeps throwing a strop and giving me "page cannot be displayed"

Seems ok again now though so I'm back

imagine this...

youve got a book...

that book has about 20 billion pages.

you want to find every page that contains the word "probably" on it.

how long would it take you to do that... a few YEARS?

now rememebr the server does this in about 100miliseconds... and its constantly processing requests like this at about 200 a second...

thats not bad going!
