whwnever you do a searh youre executing a sql query thats searching thru a relational database... with ba DB like you get on a forum like this, it takes a HUGE ammount of power to process such requests (also remembering the overheads youve got for people viewing, posting etc.) oh and dont forget the php->sql link which is never perfect.

youve got a book...
that book has about 20 billion pages.
you want to find every page that contains the word "probably" on it.
how long would it take you to do that... a few YEARS?
now rememebr the server does this in about 100miliseconds... and its constantly processing requests like this at about 200 a second...
thats not bad going!
