Default Fuel pipe

I have a flat spot on my fuel pipe so I wanted to replace it with stainless braided hose. Technically this is possible but will I need to do anything else. Also what inside diameter would I need?

Cheers

Graham

What bits are you replacing ?

To do it the proper way with braided it needs connectors and fittings all over the place. -6 (dash 6) will be fine for the hose tho'

Under no circumstances would I ever just use braided pipe on a fuel line and clamp it with a jubilee clip.

That's fine for oil breathers and such things, but never for fuel, as I don't think you'll get a good enough seal.

I would only do it properly from the filer to the fuel rail, but it would incur a lot of expense.

I have seen it, and I'm sure someone will say it's fine, but it's just a personal thing of mine that I don't like to see.

Fine for a carb'd vehicle - but I think like you and injection vehicles should be done right.

People also drill holes in a bulk head to pass the pipes through too

Do it once - do it right and use propper bulk head fittings and screw on connectors everywhere. Puts the initial expense up, but should you ever need to replace anything then its only a smaller section that is needed
