I have a Toad alarm system that was fitted when i bought the vehicle. Dont know which model etc but was working ok.

Since friday it has started makeing a constant noise from the siren.

I unbolted it, unplugged the wire (which obviously stopped the noise), pulgged it back in & all worked fine for day

Then started again

Anyone had this happen to them? Any ideas

mine used to do that when the cra battery was low!

It starts the car Ok -everything else workin fine

 

Back up battery for the alarm, not the car battery!!

 

- -where is that then ? its not in the siren

Is it a battery back up siren!? or just a normal 1!?

either way the battery back up is built in2 the siern & just charges off the car battery!

You sure the battery is fine?!

 

There isn`t a key slot in the siren which nomally means its a battery back up i think

Haven`t put a drop tester over the car battery but it always starts fine

Might b worth puttin in a call to a toad dealer & askin! as there might b different eeps for different things!

 

if its an 'ai606' the one with the black & green siren, the batterys are not avalible seperatly, you buy a new siren, there only about £35.

Is that the one Guzzler ?

It also continues to make the noise even when the car is running
thought that would have put loads of charge to it and how come if i unplug & then reconnect the siren it stops for a while.

This is driving me crazy

as it dont sound like a battery error if its doin it when the car is runnin!
