EXACTLY what i want to know Wes!!

I thought the RS Turbo had the largest master cylinder fitted as standard, 25.4mm ? Anyone know if thats right?

I've got a 23.xmm fitted at the mo so really want to get the biggest one i can fitted..... if im right in thinking that the RST one is the biggest, then thats the one to have!

Im sure Christian knows a bit about this and the price of the correct one??

Rick,

In my case, better brakes LOL. Ever since we fitted that 'normal' Mk4 Escort Master Cylinder at National Day 2003, the brakes havent been great, and im interested to get a proper RS Turbo Master cylinder back on and see if theres an improvement!

So does anyone know if the standard master cylinder IS 25.4mm?

I've just been to Ford, and i think its £137 for a new one (possibly inc the fluid reservoir)

Yeah, RST ones are 25mm (dunno about the decimal point part) they say on the side, ie, 23, 25. I think all mk4 Escorts with ABS had a 25mm.

Hope that helps. And yeah, you are looking at about a ton for a new one.

I'm sure someone told me there are bigger ones out there that will fit straight on, think it might have been Brom that stocks them?

zvhturbo Used one from a Mk5 Fiesta Zetec-S.

I'm doing this conversion now, you just have to make up a jig as you have to cut and weld both servo bracket's from the RST and the Mk5
