the plan was to be buying malcom wilsons old michelin pilot escort cosworth but ive just had a phone call tonite from a friend wanting to sell his escort,its got a 6 speed ffd with handbrake realese,genuine and perfect WRC engine with 9" plated rear diffs and much more.everythings on hold and iam going to look at this car tommorow.

 

I can't even imagine what it must to be to drive such car .... heh....

Feel invited There are some drivers here who you would really like to meet. :-D Oh if you ever wanted in Autumn there is kind of strange rally (very short stages, but really nice) which is mostly for old drivers, peo0ple who organise rallyies and people like that, but it has great atmosphere and also there is guest class wheer different peopel apear. Last year we had Italian champion in top spec Grp. N Impreza - he was beaten on most stages by my instructor from rally school in stock 1999 Impreza Turbo with 200 000km on clock I really like this even't even though it isn't a true rally. But of course we've got some really demanding true rallies. Kind of exotic thing you won't see anywhere else is VERY rough tarmac rallies. Even WRC cars lack adjustments, some run gravel struts for some stages. Lots of fun. If you ever wanted to go this way, feel invited and I can help a bit if it's in my powers .


A run in your Escort would be something out of dreams I would be convincing you to get on the right seat beside the driver I co-drived last year to and who is the same guy who did most of the work on my car. Incredible waste of talent ;-(

Shit, I didn't want it to sound like that. I only wanted to say it's avery nice event with lots of interesting stages and competition and lots of guests from all over europe come for it. It is only chance for modern driver to be able to compete with people like 3 times european champion Sobieslaw Zasada (if you don't know the name he was works driver for Porsche, Mercedes and Steyr in 1960's, but never finished hhis career and he was e.g. second in GrpN in 1997 Safari Rally)

well we should have won this rally last year if it wasnt for the gearstick snapping so going to upspec my hire car over the next two days and run that,it needs a respray so the cghicanes will be getting a hammering.
