Well had a very good day & enjoyed it, the engine didn't miss a beat, even left it at 21 psi ragging it & no probs, brakes didn't fade that much either though i only have standard size discs grooved & drilled, could have gone faster if brakes were better but they did the job & the fluid didn't boil. The suspension felt brilliant, i thought maybe on a track it might show a weakness and be a bit soft but i couldn't fault it. My main problem was the tyres were deffo shit on the track, ok for 2 or 3 laps maybe but i couldn't push as hard as i would have liked as they were getting too hot.

I would deffo do another trackday but i have to spend my money on other things, kids, wife & house etc. Maybe sell my spare 3dr wheels to fund some old secondhand wheels & slicks that i can use on track as for me as a 1st timer on the track the tyres were the biggest issue, after this it would be better brakes, the suspension & engine power was fine. Am also going to look into getting a proper big wing sump or bafflled sump.

Anyone on here do a suitable sump for a cossie for trackday use or where do you buy them ?

here's some pic's

At the Paddock entrance, just up the Hill from brands is HT racing , they do a big wing sump conversion for a few hundred quid , i have great stocks of BTCC Dunlop Slicks that will save your road tyres, PM me for a chat , theyre 17" of course tho !
cheers
