Hi m8 i am on the www.oldskoolford.co.uk forum.

We have a big member database and loads of people have done this transplant.

I can tell you a bit but not much i am afraid.

You will need and this is what i have in my MK1 escort atm:

2.0ltr engine (Mine is mk2 rs2000 an extra 10bhp standard)
Pref a sierra gear box (5 speed, much easier to drive with 5 cogs)
Rs2000 radiator
Rs2000 alloy engine mounts
Rs2000 alloy bellhousing (not essential but good to have)
Rs2000 Alloy sump
Modify the clutch (i belive its one from a sierra but not 100% sure)
Bend the slam panal all the way forward or cut it off to make room for the radiator.
Rs2000 double jointed prop

And that sall i can think of i am afraid if needed more help check the forum out

Get a 1600 or 1760 engine as the extra weight of the pinto does affect the handling especially in a non-AVO shell. The wiring loom doesn't need modified and the standard box should take the extra toque.
Spend your money on decent brakes and suspension for maximum fun quotient!
