rev counter being strange

Default rev counter being strange
My rev counter has seemed to have gone a little strange.

Whilst excelerating it will jump every now and then say 500 or so rpm up and down

Any Ideas??????

I should have a look at the connections onto your coil. Sounds like there might be a fault somewhere along the way. maybe even give the multiplug on the back of the binnacle a wiggle.
