Default Weird sound and movement from engine bay

hi, ive had this noise coming from my s2 for a couple of months, if i gently pull off sometimes i get a pop sound from the engine, like a exhaust pop sound, not an internal sound, like somethings moving about.

I get it aswell if i turn left while driving then straighten the wheel it feels like the engine shifts to the right as the steering comes back to straight line and makes that popping noise when the movement shifts while the steering goes straight,

it didnt do it before i took the engine out,and didnt do it for the first month while i got it back on the road

its doing my head in now, ive checked all the nuts on hubs/suspension etc all ok, im thinking could be a engine mount, the steering rack was new and went on while i had the engine out, so its only covered 4k miles.

But it feels like when i turn the wheel the steering rack has to catch up when the wheel goes straight and makes the car shift to right,

All the bolts are in on the engine mount, including the one in the arch

The popping sound im sure its from the engine bay, if i turn left it does it and theres movement somewhere on the engine, or steering as it make the sound, its weird, i changed the passengers wheel bearing on saturday and didnt find anything loose anywhere, but its still doing it!

the other thing it could be is a drive uj, which would explain the noise but not the movement, and it sound like youve check everything else.

hope this helps mate
