Default FUEL PRESSURE ACTUATOR THINGIE

Hi all,

Just wondered if I can adjust this myself due to my car detonating at 15PSi so I have had to back it off. Took it to well lanes and they said it was to do with the fuel ecu. I have replaced this with a know good one and the car still does it. I've heard about adjusting these to allow more fuel to be to put in at the top end of the rev range. Has anyone done this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
Dave

As said before, dont try it yourself, go to a tuner who knows how to do it properly, has to set on a co machine,

I have it done to mine, as i run high boost etc, no det or pinking on mine.

The car has a collins chip. When I check the timing it is bang on 12 degress BTC but when you increase the RPM the timing mark hardly seems to move. Could this be one of the promlems?[/b]

Definately, look for a blocked or disconnected signal pipe to ecu first of all, and then look for a faulty pressure transducer within the ecu.

Is the pressure transducer the part where the vacume pipe goes onto the ECU?

Also when I put a standard ECU on the Advance/Retard seesm to work ok. It definetely moves alot more with the standard ECU on.

Could my Chip be goosed?

Cheers

More likely the pressure transducer to be honest. Its quite common.
