Default cuts out under full boost

hey in 3rd 4th or 5th gear, when on full boost, if you drop the clutch the revs just die and she cuts out...

any ideas?

hi there,

Its not blowing off your oil filler cap or dip stick, when boosting is it.

because it the crank pressure is to high it will lift them up on boost and because of the way the breathing system works it will not idle or the seals could just be worn and need replacing.

no trouble with blowin off cap or dipstick, i have heard summink about a gunged up crank pos sensor causin it to cut out... dunno where exactly on g/box it is

sounds like an air leak have u a dump valve fitted if so take it off blank hole up see if that sort it???

ERST's don't have a crank position sensor.

mine does the same thing after booting it and let off, it will cut out, its because of the dumpvalve not closing quicker enough, take it off and u will see, or buy a new dumpvalve, spring could soggy

Hi,

My S1 does the same. It has a brand new bailey piston dv. I took it off and it cured the problem.
