Default Which is the best fast ford to go for?

Im posting on behalf of a good friend of mine who's on the look out for a fast ford , they dont have much knowledge or experience of ford cars but it has to be either rwd or 4wd so i guess that narrows it down to the cossie family?

Can someone help clarify whats the differences between the various models in terms of costs, reliabilty, performance, handling, servicing/running costs, common problems and faults?

Many thanks

Saff, they are the cheapest to pick up in the first place so your cash will go further in getting you a good one or having cash to repair it when it goes bang.

Plus you can get the older E and F platers on classic policies for cheap insurance.

What kind of car /condition could you typically pick up for around £10,000?

Which is the better handling Saph the RWD or 4WD and whats the key differences between the two models?
