best team in the prem by a good margin this year

Frankie Lampard, immense all season.

think the Arse and Manu will make it more of a competition next season though.

oh and of course the mighty Sunderland are in there too

bought my ar#e, man u spent the best part of 100 mil on veron, rio, and rooney, not to mention van the man .
well i say chelsea deserve it and good luck in champions l along with l/pool its all about coaching and the will to win team spirit ect
the problem next year will be everybody will be out to get you so you will need to raise the bar then, man u and arsenal failed to do it this year all the best and enjoy the feeling of being prem champ's 1 of only 4 club's to do it manu arsenal blackburn and now chelsea .
from a man u season ticket holder

Agree with Darren, its one thing buying players/big names but its the mark of a good manager/coach to get them to gel as a team unit.

Arsenal manage it and were expecting a lot to retain the title with basically the same squad of players this year.

Unfortunately, Man Utd have spent the money but the manager is past it and its about time to get a better younger manager in to get them to gel as a unit. But they will keep with fergie till he dies. Which is good for other teams in the premiership.

Congrats to Chelsea, well deserved and by far the best team in the league this season. Pity the mickey mousers are going to kick your arse in the champions league

yes chealsea bought the players but so did man u! who won it for chelsea this year? i mean really??! answer is the manager - terry/lampard/cole were imense and mourinho is to thank for this!

yes man u made their reputation on home growen players but are they doing it anymore? the england team will be made from the majority of chelsea players in the next few years!

just goes to show who knows what about football Chelsea won fair and square they were the better team when they needed to be and thats IT

ps look @ Blackburn Rovers for example it took them a few seasons to win the league with so called millions SO for Chelsea to do it in 1

Man U have had their time of ruling the league, gone are the days when opposition looked @ their bench and thought come on Arsenal

As said, fair play to Roman, he's sunk a lot of money into Chelsea, Ranieri did quite well last season, still finished 2nd in the league, Jose has done what was asked of him, the 1st foreign manager to win the league in his 1st season in charge. He's done a terrific job at the club. You can't take that away from him

nice to see Chelsea fans justify winning the league with just money. i'm sorry but it's one thing becoming succesful and earning your money through football and then spending that money on good players, but it's completely different having a sugar daddy come along and buy you the title. you can't even see that your most important player has been your goalkeeper. ok so the defence has been excellent but even so , you still would have possibly 25 points less if it weren't for petr cech ( all those 1-0 wins ) . the only upside is that it brings another challenge for the other big cubs and hopefully we may see an exciting title race next year. ( this year has been the most inconsistent i have ever seen ! ) you have the best squad so yes you should win the league. i think you will be knocked out of the CL on tuesday and i am still undecided on your manager. i reckon with that squad any half decent manager could win the league so i guess only time will tell . Lets just hope Roman doesn't get bored and turn you into Leeds UTD.

Agreed, it hasn't gone unnoticed, he did come third in the PFA player of the year awards. The chelsea side had a great spine. Cech in Goal, Terry at the back, and Lamps in the middle. The three of them had almost no injuries this season and were super consistent and ever present in the team. They finish 1, 2 and 3 in the PFA awards, thats just AWESOME.

Fair play to Jose, he came and he did it. If you really look in detail of who HE himself bought in then he hasn't spent that much and bought very wisely, and got rid of people like Veron, Crespo and also pushed Mutu out.

Yes I am a Chelsea fan but I'm not a blinkered idiot. Yes we had a huge cash injection but it takes alot more than that to win league. You have to get the overpaid sulky gayboy superstars to actually play as a team and work for each other. Jose has managed it, so fair play to him

Looking forward to tuesday, hopefully Duff and Robben will be back as we need their width and pace, it worked wonders for alot of the season.

What a load of poooooo Can't believe you really think that little of what he has achieved. Last year he won his own league and the hampions league with lowly Porto.... he can do it with or without the money.

ooooh, can't wait for next season when we sign some quality fullbacks to add to the squad and get a PROPER GOALSCORER up front

it shows the strenght of the team when you have won 2 trophys so far without a regular free scoring striker, for me i reckon lampard should of won player of the year chelsea would be the poorer without him

I think its amazing what has happend at chelsea. People say its all about the money, which is soooooo un true, ok the money has a big part to play as they brought good players in, but people forget their outstanding players were already there and they didnt pay silly millions for them, lampard, terry , gudjonsen, gallas, mackalele etc even with the players that came in you need to be able to play together and have a manager to back it up.

All in all totally deserved , manager is a total genuis, players seem to perform for him , well done chelsea

Also a massive big up to Stevie Clarke the assistant manager , hes my mates uncle, and also had a big part to play

oh and cheers for all the free hospitality tickets to
